Talia Ryder is currently in a metamorphosis. Though the 19-year-old actor may be considered an emerging talent, with a humble handful of acting credits to her name following a stint on Broadway in Matilda the Musical, the American actor has already left critics feeling like they have discovered Hollywood’s next star. Her performance in Never Rarely Sometimes Always was the catalyst of this. Now, playing the lead in Netflix’s newly released high school rom-com, Hello, Goodbye, and Everything In Between, Ryder is quickly climbing the ranks of stardom.
It’s a film that hits at the hopeless romantic in all of us – set against a high school backdrop, the innocence and vulnerability of a first love is put on a pedestal. When Glass asked Ryder what she would teach her character Clare, she responded, “I’ve always said I’d tell her to be a little less set on her plan. But the more I think about it, I actually don’t agree with that anymore. I wouldn’t tell Clare to do anything differently at all. I guess I would just advise her to let each relationship in her life be whatever it wants to be and remind her that not everything needs to fit into the traditional boyfriend/ girlfriend mould”.
It’s advice that Glass would tell the talented actor too, don’t do anything differently at all.
The 50th issue of Glass is out today!
